Long chest of drawers/entrance console table

Farm house country wood style drawer unit/hallway console unit.

Beautiful solid pine 9 drawer unit! Featuring 3 larger drawers and 6 smaller ones. This is a great storage unit for either in a bedroom as a chest of drawers for clothing etc or a lovely addition to a hallway if you have the space. You know what they say! First impressions matter😍

This quality piece of furniture started off tired, boring orange pine and I had a vision of it to becoming a nice light contemporary style to fit in most living spaces. The solid base on it adds to its charm and gives it a nice older but modern feel. Each drawer features gorgeous dovetail joints which emphasise the quality in craftsmanship that’s been utilised when this piece was made. I love them!

To transform this piece I firstly had to sand the full carcass and each drawer down to raw wood were I then used the colour - ‘Cool Beans’ by Frenchic. Mixing this up with water created a paint wash that I then applied in thin coats until I achieved the tone I was looking for. Using Frenchic tuff top coat I sealed the full piece to ensure durability and longevity in its new journey. I then lined each drawer with a nice subtle light blue paper with a country style illustration. I feel this compliments the set well and adds extra protection to the bases of the drawers for years to come.

Lastly I selected a nice bronzed cup handle to bring it in line with modern furniture styles but choosing that colour to add to its country feel.
